You're entirely right, Shabba, and I'm being very serious. Our country sucks hard, and we hear more and more feedbacks from people actually finding good jobs in foreign countries, mostly in Northern Europe and North America. Maybe I should think of that solution as well, as my chances to find a job in IT here are not that high (because of my fucked-up CV)...

Well, infant mortality actually is rather low compared to neighbouring countries. It's one of the lesser things of our medical performances. But doctors here do not blame it on deliveries at home.
I can't find a source at CBS to back this up. But I remember this was in the news about a year ago.

Well, then, I blame it on cultural differences. The guy said he was all wet (of fear) when his baby was delivered at home that way. For the record, I have never heard of any delivery at home in France, it must be quite rare.
