Last weekend I moved in with my girlfriend, whom I met last year. We're renting a townhouse in the city. Working from home, like some many other techies.

A friend of mine was teaching in Paris and got stuck there for 3 weeks when confinement first hit (then flew back to Québec somehow). 2 young kids in a small apartment, endless fun

How is it these days?

Or were you back in Seattle?

I'm a permanent resident in the US, and yes still in Seattle. So I only visit Paris for vacation whenever there is no pandemic. But yes, apartments in Paris are rather small in general. Or should I say they are so large here in the US!

Is there anybody out there?

Anyway, I became a dad last month! Life is crazy, blah blah blah... Oh and I've just been laid off at work after almost 5 years there. I need to find a better job, but at least I have the partner and the kiddo.

Congratulations!

Have fun with your kid, and good luck for the job hunt!

At least over here it seems like currently there are a lot of job offers...

Wow, that's amazing, congratulations! Obviously talking about the kid, not the job, the job sucks. I hope you're able to turn it into something good and combine the unemployment with caring for your kid. The first weeks are hard. Especially for the guy, recovering from the stress of the birth

As for anybody being out here, a few people still check in, but the software isn't doing great. I've set up a Discord, 9 of us are there. Check this thread: http://www.civduelzone.com/forum/sho...2&postcount=14
