Civ sale on Steam!
Civ V gets a 40% price reduction on the Steam weekend deal. This all to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Civ franchise. Obviously € 29.99 is still way too much for this horrendous game but if you really want to experience the horror yourself you can now do so at reduced cost.
Also civ IV complete is for sale for a whopping € 6.25, this includes all add ons and the Colonization remake. Now this is a really good deal in my book, especially if you wanna play Col without the criminal RDM that's on the retail version.

I got the Civ 4 complete with Col last time steam had it on sale, main reason by BTS disc was virtually dead so I could not reinstall again. As you say, saves having to search for deoderant too.

My Civ III disk cracked from extensive use (laptop drives have those systemwith the little metal balls that click your CD in position, the tension this causes over time killed my CD) Since C3C contains PTW in it's entirety I haven't bought it on Steam yet but was tempted a few times. I really like the convenience of Steam. No more looking for CD's, no more boxes of old games in your attic, download everywhere.
Considering to buy Civ IV myself even though I have all cd's and they function., just for ease of use.

I got C3C from D2D as part of the Civ 5 pre-purchase which was useful as it was my Vanilla Civ 3 disc that had died in that set.

Too lazy to make a newspost, but civ5 and all useless DLC is on a 40% discount on Steam for the next few days. I also noticed that there's some promotion going on where you can win all 2k games. All you have to do is to join the particular steam group.

I can't imagine that it can run any more now on my laptop than it could 6 months ago

D2D has 25% off using the code Rabbit. If you missed the steam sale this my help.
I can't see the offer on the Euro site though, and they seem to be charging €49.95 for a game they charge £19.99 for on the UK site. |
