Well, Luis Suarez was the man of the match, so I guess I'm proven wrong there as well.

Feyenoord was looking good!

Ajax too.

PSV did not. AZ was very solid. This is going to be an interesting competition!

NAC vs FC Grøn: 0-3.

Finally, RTL4 did a nice job with the program.

This is the first time in many years PSV did not lose or draw their openingmatch. Playing away on the artificial grass of Almelo is not easy, I think they performed ok.

Netherlands - Bulgaria: 2-0

The Dutch performance was somewhat disappointing, but they won! And that's about how it always was under Marco van Basten's rule. Van Nistelrooy once again proved he can make a goal on moments you least expect it.

But today I've become an even bigger fan of Van Persie!

And I truly and utterly hate SBS.

Amazing. I just saw Van Basten's press statement after the match, and he saw a completely different game as I did.

I agree. The Dutch success is merely a credit to the players' individual skills, and a bit of luck.

But I must say Albania played surprisingly well!
