My boss is female. She thinks civ3duelzone is where I ask technical questions for my customers, while Travian and Hattrick are both excellent, though very complicated, search engines.

I wish I had dolts for an IT dept. My boss doesn't monitor my internet traffic (but just in case... Hi Todd) The IT dept. occassionally block sites for a week and then will re-open them. I dunno what their philosophy is here, but my thinking is that someone in IT goes to all of these sites too and they've made a deal that they block it for a week or so and then when everyone gets used to not having access, they'll open up that site again.
Maybe I could get krys to go over to our corporate offices in France and see if he can talk some sense into them

My company blocks almost everything, and the checking that is done makes the net so slow I tend to do searches when I get home as it's just too frustrating at work. It tends to block stuff until we show a work related case otherwise, the day it decided that the British Standards site was porn was a classic. That didn't stop me getting a load of porn when I was researching one of our competitors though - it was an italian company with a website in italian, so I was using translate this page on Google search. The fully illustrated translation was not what I expected!

Tubby be happy, Tubby be glad....
OUR IT today made me wish for a good old nuke: they MADE me change my password for the mail server, then went and lost control over their passwords server - so now neither the old nor the new password gives me access to my mails. Vollidioten, allesamt! An die Wand stellen sollte man sie!

Be glad that you have access to the net at your work. Where I work I am not allowed to access the web and nay computers that might be able to, have been disabled from being able to connect to the web. It would be good on slow days for us to be able to connect to the net, since we would otherwise just be cleaning up all day.
