The only thing I know is Stapel's not talking about me! Or at least I dont think so. He's at war with a certain Australian I believe.

I simply think civ is not the game where one should deceive opponents with the content of PMs or chats. Fact is that I was declared war upon, while being in longer trem peace deal negotiation.
Many of you might say: Hey, as long as no deal was formerly excepted by both sides, all is allowed. I happen to think otherwise. If you plan to go to war (and actually do so), don't send PMs with detailed long term issues. And most certainly don't send PMs that it is talking so long, beacuse of work.... That's simply cowardly treacherous. Simply say you are not interested in a peace deal. There are other games, like diplomacy, that are perfectlty suitable for such tricks.

OK. Who contacted who? If you contacted him and he replied..."let me think on it " or "i will send an answer soon." I think he answered. If he contacted you and you never replied...he is within his right to attack since your lack of reply implies that you dont care.( sorta the refuses to talk option in civ)
NOW...if you and he were in active negotiations and things were being discussed then perhaps he is at fault but without seeing the negotiations or knowing who it is.. I wont pass judgement. |

Its just a game, and diplomacy is part of it. Certainly no one wants you to quit, be mad, hold a grudge, or ruin your gameplay experience. The failure to get the other party to sign onto the dotted line is not even close to cheating though. If they break an agreement though, thats another story, and you can get them back in other games in other ways. What comes around goes around.
