sorta like a mod game
I was thinking, maybe this isnīt a mod but I dunno where to post it: how about a game that never ends. Just keep the game going without having to achieve a victory, let time run itīs course and then when the time is over the game can be continued. Sorta like a real life game, make wars, trades, alliances, all that kinda stuff; and maybe when one player canīt continue playing, he gives his country over to another player and so forth, or unite his lands to another country. How ībout it? does it sound doable? and maybe it can be modded in diferent ways..of wich I know not how but ideas are always welcomed

It almost sounds as my single player games. I don't know though, I believe it isn't possible to disable the 2050 limit. You could disable all victory conditions of course.

it should be doable in an SP game with gramphos multi-tool (where you then have to reassign several hundred settings).... one problem: you will still get a histo win
I am playing something like that atm, a giant map with the max turn number set up.

But the thing is, the game doesn't stop with the histo win if you disable it, I think you can continue playing after the 2050 time limit, the pc just doesn't keep score anymore. The thing is winning isn't important, sorta like the ultimate builder's challenge, with a bit of the warmonger in him to make wars and shif economies in the game.

Sounds interesting... Multi-player game the never ends...
If it is "doable" I think the most hard thing about it would be keeping interest. Also, what type of multi-player game should it be? Live or PBEM? If it's live you'd have to quit sometime and save the game... then go through the hassle of getting everyone to together to play it again. Though PBEM games would be "easier" in away.. you still have the major problem of getting the save around.
