The CK2 old gods DLC release trailer was awesome, the EU4 pre-order trailer is rather dull...
I'm bothering you with it because it takes a nice stab at civ5: "Bring civilization out of darkness"

Looks ... uninspiring. Sorry, I know some people like the games. But your Venice story is ... discouraging. Not that I need more encouragement anyway.

On the bright side: getting a CB (reason to declare war) in EU is a lot easier than in CK2 (even without strange and hidden parameters in the republic DLC), mainly because that's not exactly what CK2 is about. Where CK2 is more about people management, EU is (what Paradox calls) grand strategy. And what normal people call 4X. I think you got that from my France walkthrough I don't put that much effort in my people management in CK2, I rather have armies to smash and burn with (but then they do have to fit on a boat).
But you're right, this is the lamest trailer I've seen in a while. It doesn't even have beards.

The trailer is a huge letdown after the great CKII old gods trailer. Still gonna buy EU IV though, might even preorder.
I got more than my money's worth from EU III and I'm really looking forward to a new TBS/4X fix. The Civ V gap needs to be filled you know

If you preorder EU4, you get a free copy of CK2 to give to fellow CDZ members!

There's a free demo available. In other news, I'll make a new subforum for EU.

Yes, but better hurry up, because the game is released tomorrow. You get two DLC's for free if you get 5 signups. That's about 2 euros when they are in the winter sale at -75% discount.
In other linux-related news: EU4 will have crossplatform multiplayer!
