I just have to wait till you go on holiday for four months without internet

ProPain 26-03-2011 15:40

With two little kids that's unlikely to happen. I'll be in Italy for fout weeks in July though so there's à fairly big window of opportunity

BCLG100 26-03-2011 20:06

I'm Italy as well but in June!

Shabbaman 26-03-2011 20:30

There's internet in Italy...

ProPain 26-03-2011 22:33

There's internet in THE netherlands as well, untill you plan your holiday in soms godforsaken place in THE sticks :)

I suspect my wife calls ahead to make sure intrnet Connection is limited so i won't spend my days posting at CDZ and gaming

The problem might be price rather than the availability.

OTOH, the romans already had mobile phones. With all those digging in Rome, they never found some telephone cable. (Great joke, isn't it?)

ProPain 28-03-2011 10:29

rofl. Price won't be an issue, I have a mobile internet plan that covers foreign mobile internet as well for a reasonable price. So availability really is the constraining factor. And I mostly stay is somewhat more remote places by a lake or other body of water (kids love swimming) instead of in a big town.

BCLG100 28-03-2011 12:35

I don't have mobile internet, I even have to turn 3G off. The Uk phone companies rape your wallet when you go abroad with that.

We were in Rome last octobre, in an apartment in the city centre (next to the campo de fiori). The apartment was renovated, but the building itself dated back to the 13th century. It did have wifi however. Free wifi is more common over there than it is here in the Netherlands (because let's face it: why would any sane dutchman give away something for free if you can get paid for it?).
